WHAT IT IS

PageForge bundles the PDF chores people usually rent a subscription for — merge, split, organize, compress, extract text, images↔PDF — plus a watermark remover and a page splitter for long screenshots. It reads real PDFs, edits them, and writes real PDFs back out, keeping a selectable text layer where the source had one.

WHY IT EXISTS

Most PDF tools are subscriptions that upload your files to someone else's server for work your own browser can do. PageForge is the opposite: free, fully local, private. It runs in your browser, and your documents never leave your machine. The free build handles up to 50 pages per file; Pro removes that limit and adds batch processing.

THE TOOLS

HONEST LIMITS

Watermark removal is exact on plain backgrounds and approximate where a watermark overlaps real content. Selectable text is preserved when the source PDF has a text layer; scanned image PDFs have no text to keep. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Watermark Remover

Upload PDFs and/or images. Sample the watermark color and the clean page color with the two eyedroppers, then remove the watermark across every page and file. Outline cleanup (on by default) strips the dark outline / edge left behind around the watermark text. PDFs are re-exported as real PDFs with a selectable, copyable text layer preserved where the source had one.

Clean removal is exact when the watermark sits on a plain background. Outline cleanup helps when a dark outline is left behind around the text. Where a watermark overlaps real content, removal is approximate. Exported PDFs keep a selectable text layer where the source PDF had one, so you can still copy/paste the text.
